The last 12 months have been challenging for all businesses, yet the UK manufacturing industry persevered, so it was important for IPS Graphics to do the same, to continue to provide a high-quality industrial print service to a wide variety of organisations and sectors.

With product design teams working at high speed to match the needs of the healthcare market and throughout other industries we found ourselves responding accordingly.

IPS Graphics has always prided itself on customer service; reviewing every design brief, to ensure we match the customer’s application objective with the right quality materials, inks and adhesives, unless we can advise of a more durable or cost-effective method.

Combined, our team has been working within the industrial print industry for over 50 years. Therefore from the initial design, to assessing the materials to considering the print process and the finishing method, our extensive expertise is able to support and aid our customer’s product design and development.

Many years ago industrial printing was regarded as “print that did not have the primary purpose of carrying a promotional message.”  Times have certainly changed and yes much of our work is to create components of a specific product, yet over the last year products that have passed through our factory doors have been carrying important and branded health and safety messages required by so many.

Labels v Labels

In the last year labels, stickers and signage have appeared everywhere, in many places where you wouldn’t normally expect to see them.

Today the growing demand for specialist labels to be produced on a wide range of materials continues to rise. In virtually every industrial and business sector today there is a need for a label.

Whatever our customer’s requirement with our extensive experience in the production of labels for a wide range of applications we can produce them to specific requirements in different formats on a range of materials.

Through screen and digital printing, our advanced specialist labelling enables us to manufacture anodised aluminium labels, self-adhesive labels, printed labels or plastic labels using polycarbonate, polyester, PVC and acrylic.

When looking for the right label printing solution for your product or application, it can be difficult to know what the right option is with so many variables to consider. However the IPS team’s wealth of experience will help guide you to produce the right label to match your exact requirements.

Printing on Metal Substrates

More and more we are seeing a growing demand to print onto metal substrates, yet not all metal substrates are the same. Therefore we work with our customers to establish their requirements in how the product will be used and in what type of environment, so we utilise the right inks and the right printing techniques.

The metal substrates sent to us for printing are at times not raw metal; they feature coatings and treatments that affect how the metal will react with certain inks, therefore we understand and can support our customer in understanding how well inks printed on the metal will resist scratching and fading.

Not Everything is Flat

At IPS Graphics we also print onto plastic mouldings, which obviously come in many shapes, some simple some complex, with curved outlines and textured finishes. However through the versatility of screen printing we can help with the most challenging of application in creating the right end product, even when it’s not flat.

Graphic Overlays

Display panels, faceplates, front panels and fascia overlays are widely used across industrial machinery and equipment across all sectors.

Available in PVC, Polycarbonate or Polyester, these are under-surface printed for durability and permanence of legend, which can be user changeable legends for insertion of variable information.

Working closely with our network of suppliers we offer a range of specialised adhesives for various surfaces with gloss, matt, satin and velvet surface finishes available. All can be scratch resistant if required.

Dependent on our customer’s application they can be created with display windows suitable for LCD display or secret till lit filter colours. Embossed keypads or Braille areas can be created for use with discreet switches. Plus they can be supplied complete on support panels, plastic or metal.

Whatever your application, whatever your design we can help guide you on processes, materials, adhesives and finishes to ensure your product can do what you want it to do.
